Impact of Aromatic Structures and Content in Formulated Fuel for Jet Engine Applications on Particulate Matter Emissions

Abstract Fuel formulation with the particular selection of fuel components is a promising approach that offers reduction harmful emissions without altering combustion system performance. Each component has its own characteristics and hence contribution to emissions. Aromatic one main fossil-based fuels strong correlation formation particulate matter (PM) Besides, aromatics presence in essential for compatibility maintaining energy density fuel. In this regard, Rolls-Royce combustor rig was used test 16 blended jet three different proportions. Moreover, novel flame luminosity imaging employed measure PM through soot propensity profile.
